The level of HRCAV competition has certainly changed over the past few years - the Level 1 section contained at least 5 horses currently competing successfully at EA Elementary, and one rider who has won many Grand Prix tests - gosh! Level 1 Virginia was very pleased with Gilly who had not long been back in work, and came 2nd in Level 2 Horse Trials at Wyena. AWHA dressage day NEC The most spectacular result ever from a club member (well, former) was a 10th - doesn't sound that flash, but when you realise that it was in the final of the Inter 1 Freestyle at Dressage With The Stars, and Kathryn and Watson scored over 60% in front of international judges, that's impressive!! Bev and Ingrid were there to cheer her on February 2010
Ingrid did her first official EA competition on Teeki placing 3rd in the Medium test 4A. Jennie Crowley has also been having a great time with several recent wins, both in Prelim and Novice, on Langrtree Royal Applause. Hurstbridge dressage day provided great results for our members: Robyn Carrington won both Level 5 tests and, of course, the Jackpot. Melanie Farrant was =1st and 2nd in Level 2, and should have won the Jackpot but due to a scoring glitch, was awarded Reserve (you are such a good sport for not appealing, Mel!) In the big league, riding Intermediate 1 at WPVDC, Viv Axton and B were 2nd, and ex-pres Kathryn Eke and Watson were 5th (at her first attempt at this level) - well done ladies! October 2009

Melanie Farrant placed 2nd in Level 2 on Will at Seymour recently. August 2009
