Rallies and Instructors

ERARC rallies are held on the first Tuesday and third Saturday of each month, starting at 10.30 am, except in summer (usually Jan-Feb), when they start at 10.00 am to avoid the worst of the heat. In March we also hold three "Twilight" rallies: click here for all details.

Often there are additional rallies on Tuesdays, which cost $20 per session. These depend on getting sufficient riders to make them cost effective (normally at least three). We usually have two such rallies a month, giving our members an average of four opportunities a month to ride under instruction.

Please check the Calendar for the latest rallly details and remember to let us know if you will attend, to assist in booking instructors.

Instructor Profiles

Our club is fortunate to have some great regular instructors at our rallies and their experience and dedication are a big asset to the club. Regular instructors include:

A well known ‘jack of all trades’ Viv also has a background in eventing and is able to provide advice on all disciplines.

When Viv is not competing, she judges dressage and teaches Equine Studies at Box Hill TAFE.
Each year students are invited to nominate the teacher whom they consider to have 'gone the extra mile' to inspire, encourage and nurture their learning experience at the Institute. In 2006 Viv Axton was the winner. In 2011 one of her students gained the top score in the State.

A highly experienced instructor, Viv enjoys teaching riders at all levels and injects enthusiasm and confidence into her pupils.
